ALL DAY - "FILL THE BUS" - Virtual - Spartan Students! The MSU Center for Community Engaged Learning and MSU Alumni invites you to participate in our 15th Annual “Fill the Bus” event. We strive to give local students and families an equal start to the new school year! When a student walks into the classroom with the basic supplies they need, they can focus on what really matters - learning! Students you can donate New school supplies (ex. pack of Crayons, Pack of #2 Pencils, Pack of Markers, Notebooks, and or Folders) at the Center for Community Engaged Learning located in the Student Services Building, Suite 101. You can also make a monetary donation online through our CrowdPower fundraising page. 2 - 4 PM (EDT) COMMUTER/OFF-CAMPUS AND TRANSFER STUDENT MEETING - MSU Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center Big Ten Room ABC - New First Year MSU commuter/off-campus students (students who do not reside on campus) and new MSU transfer students (students who previously attended another post-secondary institution) are strongly encouraged to attend this session. Light refreshments will be served. Information on making MSU your “home away from home” and an opportunity to meet fellow commuting Spartans are the goals of this session. Important information such as transfer of credits, parking, and feeling connected to MSU will be highlighted. COMMUTER/OFF-CAMPUS AND TRANSFER STUDENT MEETING 

2:30 PM (EDT) FLOOR MEETING - Your floor - On-campus residents will have a floor meeting the weekend before classes begin. Those on an even-numbered floor will meet on Sunday, August 27, at 2:30 PM. Exact meeting locations will vary per hall and will be shared by the RA. During this meeting, residents will meet their RA, connect with peers, and establish communal expectations as a floor. Participation in this MEETING IS REQUIRED.

3 – 4 PM (EDT) HONORS COLLEGE AND ACADEMIC SCHOLARS PROGRAM RESOURCE FAIR - People's Park courtyard behind Wells Hall - All first year Academic Scholars and Honors College students are invited and strongly encouraged to attend a welcome and resource fair at People’s Park behind Wells Hall from 3 PM- 4 PM with student organization leaders, our dean, and staff. Refreshments and giveaways, too! We can't wait to see you there! Hosted by the Honors College and the Academic Scholars Program.

4 – 10 PM (EDT) THE “FALL WELCOME SPARTAN SPECTACULAR” – IM East Field (Rain location: Breslin Center) - You are strongly encouraged to join us for the “Fall Welcome Spartan Spectacular” event showcasing some of our traditional programs with a touch of a few new and spectacular components. SPARTAN SPECTACULAR will kick-off with a FALL WELCOME CULINARY FOOD FAIR. The event will also feature SPARTICIPATION, a student involvement fair, which highlights over 500 student organizations. The SPARTAN SHOWCASE EVENT will be hosted throughout Fall Welcome Spartan Spectacular and will feature demonstrations and announcements by Sparticipation event participants. Join us as we close out the night with the inaugural "ROCK THE REC" event featuring a marquee performance on stage and then engage in "SPARLIGHTS" as you journey home from "FALL WELCOME SPARTAN SPECTACULAR".

•  4 – 8 PM (EDT) FALL WELCOME CULINARY FOOD FAIR - IM East Field (Rain location: Breslin Center) - Join Culinary Services for a culinary food fair experience from 4 - 8 PM. Additional dining options during the event, as well as dining hall reopening locations and hours, can be found at eatatstate.msu.edu.

4 – 8 PM (EDT) SPARTICIPATION - IM East Field (Rain location: Breslin Center) - Join us for a student involvement fair featuring over 500 student organizations - Sponsored by the Office of Spartan Experiences.

4 – 8 PM (EDT) SPARTAN SHOWCASE - IM East Field (Rain location: Breslin Center) - Join us for a showcase featuring demonstrations, performances, and announcements by Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). Sponsored by the Office of Spartan Experiences.
• 6 PM SPARTAN SPECTACULAR EVENT WELCOME - IM East Field (Rain location: Breslin Center) - Starting at 6 PM, during Sparticipation, we will host our official “Spartan Spectacular” event welcome. The welcome will feature greetings by Interim President Teresa K. Woodruff, Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas D. Jeitschko, and other university leaders along with student leaders and MSU homecoming court.

• 8 PM (EDT) INAUGURAL "ROCK THE REC" - IM East Field - Join us for a marquee performance on stage and performances by Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). Sponsored by the Office of Spartan Experiences and Recreational Sports and Fitness Services. 

• 10 PM INAUGURAL "SPARLIGHTS" - IM East Field - Join us for a luminating closeout Spartan experience as you journey home to closeout the night. Please pick up your luminary at the Spartan Spectacular main stage just at the start of Sparlights. Sponsored by the Office of Spartan Experiences.
