2 PM (EDT) FIELD HOCKEY V. SAINT LOUIS - Ralph Young Field - All students get in free with ID.

2 - 5 PM (EDT) RESIDENCE HALLS ASSOCIATION (RHA) TIE-DYE EVENT - People’s Park - Join RHA for a fun and engaging tie-dye event. RHA will be providing free t-shirts along with supplies for students to tie dye their own shirts!

2 - 5 PM (EDT) JAMES MADISON COLLEGE (JMC) WELCOME RECEPTION AND STUDENT ORGANIZATION FAIR - Club Spartan & 3rd Floor Case Hall - JMC faculty and staff will be on hand to meet you and pass out welcome packets. Visit with various JMC Student Organizations and find out how to get involved during your first year! Please visit the JMC Fall Welcome website to view all JMC scheduled events.

4 - 6 PM (EDT) COMMUTER/OFF-CAMPUS AND TRANSFER STUDENT MEETING - MSU Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center Big Ten Room ABC - New First Year MSU commuter/off-campus students (students who do not reside on campus) and new MSU transfer students (students who previously attended another post-secondary institution) ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS SESSION. Light refreshments will be served. Information on making MSU your “home away from home” and an opportunity to meet fellow commuting Spartans are the goals of this session. Important information such as transfer of credits, parking, and feeling connected to MSU will be highlighted. 7 PM (EDT) RESIDENCE HALL COMMUNITY MEETINGS are REQUIRED - Exact locations will vary per hall and will be shared by your Community Director - Residents will have a community meeting one night during move-in. Exact locations will vary per hall and will be shared by your Community Director. During this meeting, residents will meet their hall staff, learn more about the hall, and review important policies and procedures. Participation in this meeting is REQUIRED (THIS MEETING IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS THAT MOVE-IN ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY).

8 – 11 PM (EDT) SPARTAN ENGAGE U EVENING ACTIVITIES - Engagement evening activities that are coordinated between the Office of Spartan Experiences and REHS as an extension of community building activities.

• 8 - 9 PM (EDT) SPARTY SMART TRIVIA - Virtual via Zoom - Spartans will have the opportunity to win prizes during each round. We will host three rounds including a social media lightning round. • 8 - 10 PM (EDT SPARTAN NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM - Eli and Edythe Broad Museum - Join the MSU Eli and Edythe Broad Museum staff for an amazing interactive event featuring programming and an opportunity to view the museum collections. Hosted by MSU Eli and Edythe Broad Museum.

• 8 - 10 PM (EDT) PLANETARIUM “STARTACULAR SHOW” - Abrams Planetarium - Join the Abrams Planetarium staff for an interactive “Sky Over MSU” experience. • 9 - 11 PM (EDT) SPARTAN SKATING AT MUNN - Munn Ice Arena - Come break the ice and meet new Spartans as you join us for ice skating at Munn Ice Arena. Ice skates and Ice skating lessons will be provided.

• 9 PM – 12 AM (EDT) FALL WELCOME MOVIE NIGHT with RHA and UAB - Cherry Lane Field (rain location Wells B115) - Looking to have one last fun summer night with your friends before classes start? Bring your own blankets and join UAB and RHA for a night under the stars to watch a student-select movie. There will also be MSU Dairy Store ice cream and other snacks available, while supplies last, so don’t miss out! Check us out on social media for more event details! @UABatMSU & @MSURHA

• 9 - 10 PM (EDT) SPARTAN SCAVENGER HUNT - Virtual - Join us for a virtual campus wide scavenger hunt delivered via MSU Student Life Facebook Live or Involve@State Instagram. Event participants must post pictures of scavenger hunt items or locations on the MSU Student Life Facebook or the Involve@State Instagram. The first correct posting will win that round, and a total of 5 rounds will be provided for a chance to win first, second, and third place prizes based on the number of rounds won. Event will be virtual but additional points will be awarded for onsite location picture posts or historical picture posts of items. 8 PM - 12 AM (EDT) MEIJER BACK TO COLLEGE - 2 Locations – Lake Lansing and Okemos Meijer Locations. Catch the special CATA Bus for free! - Exclusively for MSU Students, Meijer Back to College provides a great opportunity to hop onto a FREE Capital Area Transit Authority (CATA) bus to two local Meijer Stores. This event provides free food, samples, prizes, games and much more! While you don’t have to spend money to enjoy this free event, many students use this opportunity to complete their residence hall room décor, buy school supplies and stock-up on snacks. Buses begin loading from designated bus stops across campus at 8 PM and the last pick-up on campus is 11:15 PM. Free return rides on CATA continue until the event ends at 12 midnight.
